Uganda – Funding Lot #10

Due to the relatively advanced stage of the Standalone off-grid energy market in Uganda, the Uganda Country Programme includes a DS Funding Window with a Funding Lot #10 for the provision of Standalone solutions. 

This Funding Lot is focused on incentivising experienced Energy Service Providers (ESPs), which have been operational in Uganda for at least 3 years and with more than 50,000 Energy Service Systems established in Uganda or another SSA country, to further scale up their sales of entry level Standalone systems to customers in remote areas. 

The purpose of making available this DS Funding Window is to reduce ESPs’ costs of offering and maintaining ESS at scale to customers in remote areas.
