How To Apply

The BGFA funding rounds are divided into two stages: A Pre-Qualification stage and a Final Application stage. Interested off-grid energy companies are requested to register and submit their applications using the online intake system.

BGFA4 – The Democratic Republic of Congo

 

The Pre-Qualification stage for BGFA4 opened on 21 June 2022 and applications can be submitted until 29 August 2022, trough the online system. Start the application process by registering here.

Applicants are requested to send any questions regarding the call and application process through the online application system at the latest by 25 July 2022. Answers will be published in a generic form and made available to all registered applicants in the application system on 9 August 2022. Please only post questions related to the BGFA4 Call for Proposals via the online application system’s support section, as specified in the Pre-Qualification Guidelines.

The Pre-Qualification stage, including a review of the applications, is expected to be completed by early October 2022. Successful applicants will be invited to a Final Application stage in October/November 2022.

Pre-Qualification guidelines for BGFA4

 

BGFA3 – Uganda

 

The Pre-Qualification stage for BGFA3 closed for applications on 22 June 2021.

The Pre-Qualification stage has been completed and applicants passing the review stage has been invited trough the online system on 14 September 2021 to take part in the Final Application stage, which was completed in March 2022.

Please note that the Final Application stage is only open to Applicants/Lead Applicants, who have successfully passed the Pre-Qualification stage and therefore have been invited by Nefco to take part in the Final Application process.
