How To Apply
The BGFA funding rounds 1-4 have been divided into two stages: A Pre-Qualification stage and a Final Application stage. BGFA5 is using a simplified application process with only one stage. Interested off-grid energy companies are requested to register and submit their applications using the online intake system.

BGFA4 – The Democratic Republic of Congo
The Pre-Qualification stage for BGFA4 closed for applications on 29 August 2022.
The Pre-Qualification stage has been completed in October 2022 and applicants passing the review stage has been invited trough the online system in December 2022 to take part in the Final Application stage.

BGFA3 – Uganda
The Pre-Qualification stage for BGFA3 closed for applications on 22 June 2021.
The Pre-Qualification stage has been completed and applicants passing the review stage has been invited trough the online system on 14 September 2021 to take part in the Final Application stage, which was completed in March 2022.
