Nefco, as the Facility Manager for Beyond the Grid Fund for Africa (BGFA), invites consultancy companies to provide the following consulting services:
(a) Independent Evaluators for Final Application Stage of Beyond the Grid Fund for Africa Calls for Proposals in Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Mozambique and Uganda
(b) Consultants for Roster of Experts for Beyond the Grid Fund for Africa for potential similar services in the future including other Sub-Saharan countries
from qualified individual evaluators and consultants who have profound knowledge of the private renewable energy and sector in Africa.
The Beyond the Grid Fund for Africa (BGFA) is supporting access to off-grid energy solutions and developing new markets for the private energy access sector in Sub-Saharan Africa mainly via results-based financing for private sector actors.
Nefco is looking for key expert inputs from individuals based on relevant experience, regardless of the qualifications of the contracted organisation. The details of the required consulting services are provided in the attached Terms of Reference (Annex 2).
Questions and Answers
Any questions on the Terms of Reference or the other documentation in the Request for Proposals shall be provided in writing to Nefco by e-mail: email@example.com with copy to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 27 January 2023. Answers to the questions will be published on this announcement page.
Submission of Proposals
Proposals must be submitted to Nefco no later than 12:00 (noon) hrs local time in Helsinki, Finland on 4 February 2023. The proposal shall be divided into two parts: a technical proposal and a financial proposal. The requirements for the proposals are described in detail in Section 2 – Instructions to Consultants. The specific standard forms are to be used for the purpose.
Consultants interested to be included in the BGFA Roster of Experts should clearly indicate this.
Proposals shall be submitted in English.
